What have I been reading of late, What I believe around twitter and why blogging is the best.
26 June 2009I have been reading a lot of great new blogs recently. I am unconvinced about all the twitter tizzy. I still enjoy blogs and have a huge number in my feed reader.
The cool thing about blogs is that you can find hidden gems, and they are from individuals that actually like to put pen to paper.
Sure you can find some stylish individuals on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for individuals with add or who dont like to write proper posts. Yes, tons of people twitter and also blog, and those people are stylish by me, but I am incessantly and forever a blog devotee.
Blogs force the author to really articluate their belief. Twitter however merely allows for you to state it. Call me old fashioned but I think there is a point where smaller is no longer hotter. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Peculiarly when it comes to technology. Surely there has to be a place where we see substance matters. Value matters. What do you suppose?
Maybe the down-to-earth answer rests in balance. And compromise. You cannot pressure individuals to have essence and not be shallow. But, too possibly you need to drive the inward looking hippies to lighten up a little aswell?
