When Looking for a Credit Card Company Avoid Any that Seem Too Good to Be True
5 February 2010There is not any law that states that credit card corporations can’t charge an application charge ; to this day, I’ve not seen one bank that charges an application charge for an unsecured credit card. If a bank tells you that they need you to pay an application charge for one of their credit cards, you should be extremely wary, and ensure the offer is legit. Finding the right credit card deals for you can often prove to be difficult.
Most banks are contented enough to get your claim and have the break to gather fees and interest from you in the future. We have received many grumbles about a company making uninvited calls to people both on and not on the Federal don’t Call List. If you get a call from somebody making claims to be offer you a credit card at a low IR, you should be intensely scared about their offer. They generally start by talking about the high rate of interest you are paying on credit cards and they are offering a credit card at nine % IR so you might transfer your balance over. After they’re going through the normal sales strategies, they tell you that you are going to need to pay anywhere from $200 to $500 to apply. After they charge your card, they send out applications for 3 other visa cards that are issued by banks that have no known relationship to the sales person you chatted with.
If you get dropped by those banks, the company will only refund 1/2 the amount that they charged you, and that is if you’re able to get a reimbursement which some had difficulty getting.
We have attempted many times to contact this company before publishing this article, however we’ve not received a reply, but we continue to attempt to get in contact with them.
